Stephanie Rozzo is a freelance science illustrator originally based out of Monterey California and recently relocated to Marin just north of San Francisco. Her art portrays plants, animals, people and geology realistically. She specializes in creatively synthesizing a variety of information in order to communicate a complex idea through art. This is achieved by research and consultations with experts. Her art brings clarity to images and shows subjects in a way that cannot be photographed.

About Stephanie:

  • Drawing life since she was a very young and also always interested in Natural History.

  • Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona in Tucson Arizona.

    • As an undergraduate she took courses in Drawing and Color & Design. While studying abroad in Australia at Newcastle University, she took advantage of the opportunity to take an introductory course in Scientific Illustration

  • Animal related work experiences:

    • Veterinary assisting, wildlife rehabilitation, zoo education, and zoo keeping and training of various Sonoran Desert and exotic animals

  • Graduate Certificate in Scientific Illustration from California State University Monterey Bay
